Laikeside AI is a brand operated by Laikeside Ventures ("Laikeside," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website (laikeside.com) or use our services.

In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Laikeside Ventures, operating as Laikeside AI.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Contact details submitted through our website forms (name, business name, phone number, email address)
• Business details you share with us (call volume, current software, challenges you describe)
• Information exchanged if you become a client, including business and billing information needed to deliver and invoice for our services
• Information you submit through our free teardown quiz, described in Section 5

If you're a client's customer interacting with our AI Front Desk system via SMS or call, we process the content of those messages/calls on behalf of that business to provide the service, in line with our agreement with that business.

2. How We Use Information

• To respond to inquiries submitted through our website
• To evaluate whether our services are a fit for your business
• To deliver, maintain, and bill for services if you become a client
• To improve our website and offerings

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers who help us operate our business, including:

• Supabase — for secure storage of form submissions and client data
• Twilio — for SMS and voice communication infrastructure
• Stripe — for payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude API) — to power the automated conversation features of our AI Front Desk product
• Resend — to deliver the emails we send you, including your teardown
• Vercel — to host our website and process form submissions

Each client's data is kept in a dedicated, isolated Supabase project and Twilio subaccount — we do not pool client data across a shared platform.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Laikeside, our clients, or others.

4. SMS and Text Messaging

If you or your customers interact with a client's AI Front Desk system by text message, here is what applies to that SMS communication specifically:

• We collect the mobile phone number and the content of text messages exchanged with the AI Front Desk system, in order to respond, log the conversation, and pass the resulting lead information to the business you contacted.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers and message content are used only to operate the AI Front Desk service for the business you texted.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• You can opt out of receiving further text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you've been opted out. You can opt back in at any time by texting START.
• If you need help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at hello@laikeside.com.

5. Free Teardown Quiz and Emails

If you complete the quiz on our website to request a free teardown, we collect:

• Your name, email address, business name, and your website and/or Google Business Profile link
• Your answers to the quiz questions (for example, your trade, crew size, and lead volume)
• A record of your consent, the time you submitted the quiz, and the page or link that brought you to it (for example, which trade-specific link you used)

We use this information to prepare and send you your written teardown, to send you one follow-up email, and to understand which pages and ads are working. We may use AI tools, including Anthropic's Claude, to help analyze the information you submit when preparing your teardown.

By ticking the consent box you agree to receive your teardown and one follow-up email from Laikeside Ventures. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you further marketing emails unless you separately agree. Every email we send identifies us and includes our mailing address and contact details. To unsubscribe, reply with the word "unsubscribe" or email hello@laikeside.com, and we will stop contacting you, normally right away and in any case within 10 business days.

Quiz submissions are stored in Laikeside's own Supabase project, hosted in Canada (Central), separate from any client's data. Some of our service providers (including Resend, Vercel and Anthropic) may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. If you're a client, data retention terms are also addressed in your Client Services Agreement.

Quiz submissions and the related emails are kept for 24 months after you submit the quiz or after our last communication with you, whichever is later, and are then deleted or anonymized. If you become a client, the retention terms in your Client Services Agreement apply instead. You can ask us to delete your submission sooner at any time.

7. Your Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, you can let us know at any time. We will respond to these requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use standard analytics and advertising tools (such as the Meta Pixel) to understand site traffic and measure ad performance. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including using isolated infrastructure per client and standard encryption for data in transit.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
